The following rules apply to the Bay Area Kids/JE Model Answer the Call Modeling C ontest, running from June 1, 2010, 12:00 AM through November 12, 2010, 12:00 AM. The contest is open to participation only by individuals who are, as of date of entry, 18 years of age, physically located in the Northern California Bay Area, and are legal residents of the United States of California. Employees, consultants, independent contractors, or interns of Bay Area Kids, JE Model, or affiliate or subsidiary companies, nor household members or immediate family members are not eligible.

Contest Administrators: Bay Area Kids and JE Model

Summary of Contest: Beginning at 12:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, June 1, 2010, and ending November 12, 2010, residents of the Northern California Bay Area may enter the contest by uploading five recent photos of his or her child/ren between the ages of 5 months and 8 years of age for a chance to win a one-year modeling contract with JE Model, appearance in an upcoming Bay Area Kids photo shoot, and more. Those who wish to upload photos must be the parent or legal guardian of the child. Photos must have been taken within the last three months before the submission date. Five photos per child, per family allowed. Each submission will be considered its own entry. After 12:00 AM, November 12, 2010, representatives from both Bay Area Kids and JE Model will evaluate all entries and select four winners — two boys and two girls — based on three qualifiers:

• child's overall appearance as shown in the photo 
• child's overall personality as expressed in the photo
• quality of the photo

Eligibility: To be eligible for this contest, entrants must be a legal resident of the United States residing within the Northern California Bay Area, 18 years of age or older, and be the legal guardian or parent for the child whose photo you are uploading. You agree by submitting your photo to have your submission featured and published on Bay Area Kids' web sites (including www.bakidsmagazine.com and www.southbaykidsmag.com), on JE Models web site, and in print in Bay Area Kids magazine, as well as any promotional or advertising materials used to promote the contest by either Bay Area Kids or JE Model. You agree to abide by the rules and regulations stated herein, and elsewhere in association with this contest, whether stated or implied. Should your child be selected as one of the winners, you agree to have your child made available for a photo shoot at Administrators' discretion, and agree to sign and provide lawful information for all documents and consent forms as required by the Administrators, local, state, and federal laws. Failure to agree with these terms will result in instant disqualification and ineligibility from Contest. If a finalist is made ineligible, a replacement will be selected through internal processes as agreed on by Administrators. Replacement finalists are also bound to above agreement. By submitting your photograph/s, you acknowledge that you have the rights, licenses, and proper permissions to submit these materials. Photos will not be accepted that have appeared in magazines or newspapers, show logos, copyrights or trademarks on clothing or in the photo, and include pornographic, hate-based, violent, racial, or otherwise discriminatory or illegal imagery or content. Final decisions regarding acceptance are made by Administrators and will be considered final.

Administrators may at any time remove Submissions from qualification whom they believe are in violation of any of these rules. If photos are taken by a professional photographer, we must receive a waiver of rights from photographer for use of photo in Contest and other related works, including advertising and marketing.

You agree to provide correct, accurate, contact information, including mailing address, age of child at time of photo submission, phone number, and names of legal guardian/s or parent/s. Failure to provide accurate contact information or update Administrators in the case of a change in this information will result in disqualification from selection. It is your responsibility to send updated address and other information to Administrators.

Privacy. Photos submitted will be posted in a publicly-accessible web site, however all personal information will not be included. Administrators have the right to share information of Submissions when making selections. Information provided by Submissions will not be made available to third parties.

Prizes. Winners will be contacted individually on or before November 15, 2010. Names and photos of winners will be published in the December/January issue of Bay Area Kids, East Bay edition, and the January/February 2011 issue of the South Bay edition.

Winners will each receive a one-year representation contract with JE Model, and will be featured in an upcoming fashion photo shoot for Bay Area Kids magazine. Representation by JE Model does not guarantee future work. Winners will also receive gift packages from Jay Dixon Photography and Looking Glass Studio as well as any other prizes not mentioned.

Administrators are not responsible for lost Submissions, incomplete Submissions, Submissions cancelled by user or electronic malfunction, or any other form of loss. Administrators not responsible for any occurrence that prevents Submissions or contact with finalists. Administrators are not responsible nor required to communicate with Contest entrants during length of Contest. Administrators will attempt contact with winners via phone or e-mail within three days of selection. If winners fail to respond within 48 hours, or if Administrators receive an undeliverable email notification after three attempts, or failure of winner to provide Administrators with proper proof of age, identity, and citizenship, or failure to return all requested documents, or failure to claim any prize within 48 hours, said candidate will be considered null and void and an alternate winner will be selected by Bay Area Kids and JE Model. In case of a prize forfeiture, Bay Area Kids and JE Model may or may not decide on awarding the prize to an alternate winner.
